I have read some many books in the last year that I need to write on but that's going to take a while so I'll talk about my current read, which is The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton by Miranda Neville. I was introduced to this authoress through the Ballroom Blog, which is now one of my favorite blogs. I've picked up several of her books over the the school year but this is the first one that I have read. At first I was a little unsure about it but after awhile I got quite caught up in the story and I can now say that I am quite a fan of Ms. Neville's. The heroine of this book is named Celia Seaton and she has been left penniless, with a broken engagement, and only one connection in all over England. She is kidnapped and taken to an old house where Mr. Tarquin Compton, the hero stumbles upon the scene and is knocked unconscious by the kidnapper. Both Tarquin and Celia escape and have to wondered across the Yorkshire moors, with no money, no way weapon, and half clothed! Because Tarquin was rather cruel to Celia during her debut, Celia deliberately makes up a factious identity for Tarquin, who lost his memory when he was hit on the head. Eventually Tarquin does remember who he is but not before he and Celia have already slept together. He offers marriage but Celia turns it down. In the meantime, the kidnapper is still after Celia and no one can figure out why since she has nothing of value. Eventually the figure out that she has a priceless diamond hidden in her childhood rattel. I have not finished it yet and that's where I'm pretty much up to. I didn't write alot about the story and the other people but if your interested try reading the book some time.
