Back to School :)

It's that time of year again. Yes, it's back to school time { everyone between the ages 6 to 25 moans}. Yesterday was my first day of class and my body turned traitor on me and I came down with the flu. My throat felt raw and my I was sure some one had hit me in the head with a hammer because my head was hurting so badly. Thankfully, today was better but I still haven't felt great. Anyway, I like all of my classes but I have a feeling that my mythology professor is going to be a stick in the mud. He gave us assigned seats for crying out loud! Are we in pre-school or something? I can't remember the last time I was assigned to a seat. What really annoys me is that I'm in the third row which is second to last. In the second and first row are all the tall guys so I can't see the blackboard, which is going to make things interesting. Other an Mythology, I'm taking British War and Immigration ( a required English class for some weird reason), Health and Wellness,  US Reconstruction, and Pathophysiology. I feel like this semester is going to be rather dull because most of my classes are General Studies. Since I still haven't taken my TEASE test, I won't be entering the nursing program till the winter term. A note to any freshman reading this. If your going to change your major do it early or you will wind up going to school forever like me.

Besides school, I had a nice encounter with guy a local bookstore and I realize I don't flirt very well, at least with guys my own age. I haven't really felt attracted to anyone for a while and he was fairly cute so I thought I'd give it a try. I guess I don't completely make an idiot out of myself since he asked for my number but I'm not sure if anything will come of it. But it did get me to thinking that I need to get out more. It's been 2 1/2 years since my last real relationship. I'm not really looking for extremely serious but I think I am ready for something... just not sure what.

A Coffee Day

{ Kitten wakes up, stretches, and stumbles to get a cup of coffee} I like getting up early but I'm not an early "doer." I much prefer to rest, sip coffee and enjoy a little me time before getting started for work. Today is one of those days where I have to start my school work, alas, so I thought I'd procrastinate a little and blog :)

I'm so glad essay 3 is finished. I felt so stupid because I screwed up the assignment royally and I didn't realize it till after I had submitted to be peer reviewed :( I felt really embarrassed because it was such an essay assignment and the professor had stated exactly what we were supposed to do. For some reason, I didn't argue my point; the paper was mostly factual....ok it was all factual. My mind was taking a vacation on a tropical island while I was writing it apparently.

Lil Sis and I have a sleep over planned Thursday! We haven't had one in a year I think and we have a lot of things planned. It makes me think about sleep overs we have had in the past which makes me a little nostalgic. I miss being little and not having to worry about a thing. I want to be carefree again!!!

It is officially August and in a little over three weeks, the Fall Term will have started. I want to take Modern Britain but I would have to drop a class and that class would be only an elective while all the others I am signed up for are classes I need to take. But its with Land (one of my favorite professors) and I like Britain. It would also go nicely with an English class I'm taking called British Immigration. I'm not that obsessed with England but it was either Brit. Immigration or Baseball! Would you believe they have an entire class devoted to literature on baseball!

I've been meaning to look for some foreign music to post but by having to redo essay 3, I haven't had a chance but I did find an interesting one. KurtHugoSchneider, is one of my favorite channels and he made this medley of songs by Rihanna. The singer is Matisse and I had never heard of her before but she has an amazing voice, so...

Book Reviews

Wow July is almost over and August will be here soon. I'll get to start Christmas shopping soon!!!! I like to get that out of the way early so I can just kick back and just enjoy the holiday and not worry about fighting the traffic. Anyway...I said that I would do a book review and I was going to do one about I book I finished a few weeks ago but I have to go on an rant about an one I just bought so...

Diana Palmer used to be one of my favorite romance writers ever since I was 14. I lived in Paper Rose, Lord of the Desert, Once in Paris, and Desperado not to mention her Soldier of Fortune series.. They were all good and unique however, many of her recent books have been repetious. I was so excited when Meciless came out because I was hoping that this one would be better, would be unique but I'm 150pages into it and its the same old same old. If this was the first book you'd ever have read from her, you might like it because the action parts are good but the romance part is the same as several other books. I feel like I am reading Outsider, another one of her's, but with different characters. Also, and maybe it is just me, but her characters here lately have been rather droll and too passive. In early stories, her characters had so much more spunk. Oh, well, she is starting a new series set in Wyoming but if its just about cowboys I don't think I'll bother but I will at least read the first book to see if its any good.

Back to the book I was orginally going to blog about. I finally finished War Dogs. I believe I mentioned the book back in January when I first about it but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I finished it. Al Venter is a great writer. His books are vivid, humorous, at times, and serious at other times. It was nice having all the pictures so you could a face with the name. The book is about mercenaries and their role in today's world. He did have to go back to some history about different things but it was interesting none the less. I liked his argument that mercs and PMC are essential to countries now a days and that they can be a very valuable asset. It was a very long book, with around 500 pages however, definetly worth the read. I started another book where he tells about his exploits as a journalist. In November, his book about Neal Ellis comes out and I'm very excited about it because, I found him to be quite a fascinating character.

Well, there's two book reviews. I'm so behind and I just realized I haven't posted any music for a while and I haven't had much time look for new forgien artist so I'll put one up by one of my favorite American ones.

It's Been Forever

Wow, its been months since I've posted anything! I have been such a busy kitten of late with classes, and books and these silly computers problems that plague me all the time. I truly am cursed. Recently, I have been having so difficulities with my laptop and I took it in the shop to get ( yes, I have a computer macanic) and he told me that my hard drive was corrupted. What! How does one corrupt a hard drive anyway? I haven't been looking at anything naughty, so how could it become corrupt ; ) Then, to add insult to injury, my battery up and died on me. So I picked up my computer from the shop yesterday but it wasn't completely put back together. The hard drive has been cleaned or something like that, but I am running on no battery. As long as it's plugged in, I'm good. If I unplug it for any reason it shuts down. I was doing transcription last night and my father had me three revisions. That's not so bad right? Well, it is when, every time I took it off the charger it shut down and took 3 to 4 minutes booting up each time. It took 45 minutes to get the bloody papers ready :(

As far as class gone, I seem to be moving along well enough. Sociology, which I took for Summer 1, was interesting and very interactive. I really liked the professor and I passed the class with an A which is always a plus. Now, I'm taking Advanced Exposity Writing. Sounds icky right? Well it's not as bad as it sounds but I am flustrated. This class is pretty much the same class I took when I was at Saint Mary's! It's actually easier then the other.

As usually, Lil Sis and I haven't been able to go out and do as much as we would have liked. Originally, we had planned to go to Turkey Run and go canoing and hiking. Swiming and a trip to the Botanical gardens were also on the agenda. I had even hoped we could get to Chicago to see the muesem. Alas, between my classes, and learning how to do medical coding, and keeping up with the filing at the offices, I don't have much time :( Fall term will be starting in 4 weeks but that still gives a while. I know we won't be able to make the Gardens and Chicago, the rest of the list is still do able : )

Here lately, it has been dreadly hot and Kitten is very dissatified and Lil Kitten is very very dissatisfied. To me the perfect temp is in the mid to high 70's. Yesterday was 104!!!!!!! Ugh, I don't believe we have a reprieve insight for sometime.

I have been reading alot and have several book reviews to do and this time I shall post them. Maybe I shall post one tonight.

Kitten is so tired, maybe a little cat nap and then work...

It's Over !!!!!!!!

{Kitten bounds into blog with a spring in her step} Yes, finals are over and I am officially out for a month. What summer break is longer than that? Well, it is but I have summer classes that start in about a month but one class is sooooo much better then 7.
Why is it bad things happen at the worst times? I have been healthy all school year. There were the occasional colds but nothing terrible...until finals week. The Friday before finals week, Lil Sis and I along with two of her friends went to see another friend at his dance recital. My throat was really tight and I just felt off. I knew something was up and of course, Saturday, I felt like I was dying. Unfortunately my entire finals week was terrible. Do you know how hard it is to force yourself to stay up till 2 in am when you can barely breath and can't stop coughing? Well, I somehow got through the week with decent grades on my finals expect for Microbiology but I had good grades in before so that's ok. I barely passes Physiology Lab but I did by 3 points.
This week has been terribly busy and I have quite a bit to write. There is a few book reviews to do and a few music reviews also. Plus I plan to write all about my upcoming summer projects! Unfortunately, I have no new gossip to report.
Oh! Guess what? Kitten got a new hair color. I love my stylist. I never come out looking anything like the picture but I my hair always comes out looking good. I had a picture of light blond with darker blond highlights. I came out with a mixture of platinum blond, copper, and red (natural) lol. I love her randomness. So far most people like it but I have yet heard from my Lil or Cowgirl
Oh oh! {Kitten jumps up and down on windowsill, loses footing and falls on velvet cushion} I have a mystery for you. It seems that ever once in a while money comes up missing in our house. I thought it was either my half brother, who has a history of pinching money or my aunt who has dementia and sometimes miss places thing. Hoever, in the past few days something really odd has been happening. Money has been randomly appearing! Yes, my mother was going through her purse to find something when she found $60  when she swears she only had $25 in there the other night. She said it was one 20 and a 5 but in the morning she had 3 20's. Then on Sunday we went out to eat. The money pouch that I carry had two 20's in it folded along the middle on Friday. Sunday I found 5 20's. How do you miss count that? I suppose I shouldn't complain, afterall, appearing money is better than dissappearing money but it does make me curious...which isn't really good for cats I hear.

Rants and Randomness

Ugh, class are not appealing to me today. Tempted to just skip and have a "me" day but I won't. I think it is Spring fever. It is just too nice of a day to be stuck inside a classroom study. Kittens need fresh air and sunshine!

I'm slightly annoyed at my Early Modern European History teacher. I worked my tail off on that last test and I recieved at B+. Both sides of the sheet were completely written on down to the last line so why wasn't it an A? It just really makes me mad when people who barely study, not to mention never read the assigned readings, take a test and get A's. I participate in class discussions, do all the readings, and do outlines for my test and still get B+! Oh well, not much I can do about it.

I left my charger at home and did not realize it last night till my phone was almost dead. Well that is quite a predicament seeing that on our campus, we have no landlines. Then I remebered I still had the USB cord thingy that plugs my phone into my computer and I could charge it on my laptop. The bad thing is that if I do it that way, it is insanely slow. It was 11:00 when I pluged it in and 12:20 when I took it out. Getting into bed later than normal is why I am so tired this morning.

Signed my up for an apartment yesterday, however, I'm not sure when I find out when or if I'll get one next fall. They are supposed to call me to let me know to come down and sign the contract if I do. If I don't? Well, I think I will just commute till the winter and then, in the second semester, get a dorm room.

Just a Spring Day : )

{Kitten comes hopping into blog and falls down into the sunlight} These last two days have been incredibly nice! The temperature has been in the upper 60s and I was told today could get into the 70s!!! That makes me a very happy kitty : ) Not to mention it is now officially Spring. Yesterday, I went to Lil Sis's campus and we had a nice, albeit, short walk. Poor Lil Sis, though, she was stung by a bee. We were sitting in the graveyard ( Yes there is a graveyard on campus where all the Sisters are buried) under a tree just resting. I had seen some bees flying around but I didn't think they would bother us. I was wrong. After Lil Kitten was stung, we were subsequently chased out of the graveyard. Those bees are quite bosssy aren't they?

I am also happy because I found out yesterday that I that I recieved a B+ on my Microbiology Lab Mid-term and that our nursing test, that I though I didn't do so well on, had an error, so it is in the process of being fixed. Then, today I found out that I got a B on Physiology Lecture and Cognitive Psychology tests.

The only sucky part of this this week is that I found out that room selection is this week. That means that there would be no way for me to room with Lil Sis if she did transfer. In light of this new information, I have almost defintely decided to just get an apertment. Yes, it is convient to be on campus and just have to class. It is going to take more of my time but the campus apartments are not that far away and I can have my own privacy and room to move around. I am in a "double room" and it is pretty small. The single room have barely any space.

No another note, I was talking to an old friend a few days ago and we started talking about Japan and we eventuall got to talking about Japanese music. I have to admit, I don't know all that much about Japanese artist but she recommended a singer named JUJU. I really liked her and put one of her videos below. The title is in Japanese so I'm not sure what it is. The person who uploaded the vid is axl800.

The Not So Great Week

{Kitten steps into blog but slips on something, slides all the way across room, and lands in water bowl} It has just been one of those weeks where nothing has gone right. My Psychology teacher cancelled class Monday...but wait, isn't that a plus? Well yes it is but she forgot to tell us that we had two assignments due Wednesday so now I am down about ten points. Then I found out that I did not do so good on my nursing test and yesterday I learn that I did terrible on my Physiology Lab test. Speaking of Physiology, I had a test in lecture today and I just don't know how I did which up the wall. If I did bad I want to know so I can get upset and get over it. Finally, as if my body was trying to add insult to injury, I have been sick off and on the entire week! I sincerely hope everyone has had a better week than me.

However, Mother Nature seems to be taking pitty on this distraught kitty and has warmed the weather up a bit. Today is supposed to be in the 60's and tomorrow is going to hit 70 : ) Yay!!!!! My Lil Sis and I are are planning to go on a nice prommande around her campus. Unfortunately the flowers are not out yet. Her campus, my old one too, is so beautiful in the Spring and Summer. It is off the in Woods and it is like having a college in a secret garden. Also, I am supposed to see Cowgirl and her new baby Saturday, of which I am so excited because I have not had a chance to see the little guy yet.

All right, so I realized last night I have not put up in forgien music in a while. I meant to go back to Russian, but I can't seem to find the video's I want so I shall come back to that in a week or so. Since Russia has been put on hold why don't we try so arabic music. Nancy Ajram is one of my favorite (well, truthfully, the only) arabic singer. She is from Labanon and was born in 1983. She actually has a really nice website that gives more info that I can. Here is the link: http://www.nancyajramonline.com/en/ . This is in english but I think you can change to different languages. This music video, uploaded and translated by clintoncaudill on YouTube. The title is called  "Ehsas Jdeed."

Kitten's Busy Week

{Kitten looks up startled at the sound of visitors after falling asleep} It is finally break time for this little kitten. The past week two weeks have been nothing but tests, quizzes, and the occasional essay. I took my last test for awhile so yay! Now I have all these updates and where do I start...

Well the good news is that I received a B on Nursing exam, B on psychology, and an A on my History. Also Cowgirl had her baby and is now at home with Little Tim :) The bad new is that I shall have to take my TEASE ( nursing entrance exams over) because I did not do so well on the math.

That is the good and the bad but now would you like to here the strange new? To start out with, I was procrastinating one even last week and starting googling Russian Gang Tattoo's. What? Why would a little kitten look up such an odd thing? Well, originally I happened on to a site that was talking about the five most dangerous countries to visit and Russia was one of them. This intrigued me because while I had heard of the Russian Mafia, I had never really given any thought to Russia being a dangerous country. On thing lead to another and I found myself watching a video that showed all these different Russian gang tattoos. Here is pic.

Well any way, the Russian gang tattoos was not the strange thing that happened. No I found a picture of a girl who had a rather interesting one on her chest so, I clicked on it to enlarge and than bam, my computer was attacked! "Oh no," I thought, "the Russian Mafia is out to get me." They say curiosity killed the cat! That's not good. No, it was not the Russian Mafia but my computer was attacked and I even had the name of it something about ToolKit but I did find it funny that I was attacked right when I entered the Russian site and the sad part of it was I was able to enlarge the picture.

The Mafia incident was not the only strange event that happened to Kitten over the past several weeks. Have you ever had a person come up to you and they act like they know you, give you hug, ask how you are doing but you haven't the faintest idea who they are. This has happened to me twice in a week and half. Both times it was a guy, which is how I know I didn't know them. I have many girlfriends but I have only had a handful of guy friends in my life. My high school consisted of 21 people when I graduated so I know they weren't from there. My last college I went to was all girls and even though I am at a co-ed college now, I remember all the guy partners I have had in class. So who were they and how do they know me...I haven't a clue. One guy looked very athletic and was quite attractive. He asked how I had been been our talk gave no clues how we met. I could have asked them who they were but I always feel awkward doing that, so I just went along with it.

Now going back to Russia, I don't think I have ever said how fascinated I have been with the country and how much I like there music. One of my favorite Russian singers is МакSим. I know I normally give some background about the singers but most of the pages I could find were in Russian and I didn't have time to use a translator convert it to English.
I couldn't find my favorite song of hers for some reason but this is my second favorite. The music video was posted by ViaAlena{it tells the creator in the title}. I have more to write but, alas, Kitten has to get her tail in gear and get back to homework.

Worries

I started my Personality Psych class today. It seems like it will be very interesting but demanding. Thankfully, the only homework we have is to read the chapters and listen in class. The professor is funny and I think that he will make the class interesting. We are doing powerpoint { apart of me died we he said that} but he doesn't recite from it thankfully, so I won't be wanting to fall asleep in class out of sheet boredome. The only thing that I don't really like about this class is that the chapters are long; about 35-45 pages long. It's accounting all over again : (
On another annoying note, Donna over at the Clinton office is off on vacation. Swaim wants me to work over there during the day, but, hello, I have class and school work. One of the main reasons that I am taking summer classes is so that I don't have to be at work all day and I won't be so stressed. I'm fine with just the class but when he throws work in afterwards, it just ruins my entire day. I have to do homework after I get off, for goodness sake. I told Swaim to tell Alberta that I would be there Tuesday and Wednesday after 1 and on Friday from 8-11:45. I can't work all day because I have an appointment with my advisor at 1.
I was reading a blog that I haven't read in a while. Real Princess Diaries is an interesting blog and I find Alexa so uninhibitied. I wish I had just a little of her I don't give a damn attitude but alas I don't. She was talking about gang banging and how liberating it was for her. While there are many thing that I would like to do, gang banging, is not one of them. Although, in a way, I can sort of understand her appeal.
There are somethings regarding sex, however, that I wish I didn't have an attraction to. That or I wish I had been raised in a more liberal household. I have been trying to hide my head in the sand when it comes to my attraction to women but it isn't working. But am I really bi-sexual or just curious? I try not to think about it but thoughts keep poping up in my head. What am I supposed to do? I feel so torn. In a way I would like to explore this but know that morally it is wrong. I cannot help how I feel but I can help how I react to my emotions. I would be a hypocrite if I did it any other way. If I could just get it out of my mind. When the fall term starts, I'm sure that I'll be too busy to wonder. Let's hope anyway.
Speaking of the fall term, I really hope that I get along with my new roommate. That's actually my biggest worry: that I'll get with someone who I just cannot get along with or that I am uncomfortable with. Preferably, I would like a transfer student because then we could get to know the campus and people together vs being put with a girl who has been there for 2 years and already has a group of friends. I should find out in the next two week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Kitten's Change

Kitten wanders into blog and sleepily lays on velvet cushion. It has been such a gloomy day today. I want the sunshine {whines }.
It has been very busy so Kitten has barely had time to catch her breath let alone blog. After much reflection and thought I have decided to change my major. While I love accounting and find anything in the business sector interesting, it just isn't what I want to be doing my entire life. I want to be in a job where I am able to move around and work in different places. I really want to work internationally. I know I have talked about working in Europe and have bent numerous hours pouring over French books. Is working in Europe going to be any different than working in the US. Ok, yes, the rules of accounting would be different but my life would pretty much be the same. I want a change.
Therefore, Kitten has decided that nursing is going to be her chose profession. With nursing I can get a job anywhere. I can with with a doctor in private practise or work at a hospital or find some relief work, like the Red Cross, and working where people are really needed to help. There is also a lot of job security and while the pay isn't going to make me a millionaire, it is decent enough.
Changing majors means that I must part with my current college and leave all my friends and professors. I'll miss them but I feel it is time to move and start another chapter. I don't regret going to my current college. I love and will miss it. They have great professors ( for the most part) and the one-on-one attention is not like anything that I will find at my current college.
Not to make it sound that I will be moving across the country. No I shall just be down the road some 10 miles away. My new college is a public university but compared to many other public ones, it is not all that big. I think there is about 2500 total for the undergraduate section. I will thankfully not be living in the dorms but will have an apartment on or near campus. While I like the idea, I'm a little worries because I have never lived on my own before. Even at my current college, it felt more like a big mansion with a lot of girls. An apartment by myself for some reason sounds daunting but I'm sure that I will get over it eventually.
My summer class started last week and, for the most part it is going well. My class is rather small for this college, about 14. The class is called Quantitative Literacy. This is pretty much just the basic math course but I felt like a needed a refresher before getting into the college algebra and trig.
My Lil Sis and I had a nice Saturday. We went to the pool and swam for a little while. We tried playing a volleyball like game in the water but it was much easier than it sounded. I have a weak arm and the ball kept getting away from Lil Kitten and going to the deep end but we still had a lot of fun. Then we came back home and went and had Chinese and after that we went to Movie Gallery, which is going out of business and looked around. I was shocked to find two seasons for "Secret Life of a Call Girl" I had want to watch it but did not know they had it so I bought both seasons. Then we came back home and watched "Beverly Hill Chihuahua" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic" both are great movies. We also make time to read some of the confessions from Cosmo. I love those things.

Kitten's Easter Break

Kitten walks into blog rather slwoly today a little sad. I broke up with Mark yesterday. It was the right thing to do but still... I feel bad. I don't know what I was think. It never would have worked and I should feel bad. This is my fault. I just cannot be in a typical relationship right now. It would have to be open but most guys I know are wanting something more serious. People say that it is usually the guys who do not want anything long term. Well, that's not quite right. I know plenty of guys who want exactly that, which lives Kitten with her studies, yet again.
It is Easter Break. Other than my break-up, all has gone well. I was restless Wednesday however but Thursday my Lil Sis and I went on a walk and that helped. The weather here has been so nice. I love it! Yesterday the high was 80 and I was sitting outside a good part of the day.
Five weeks until school is out and Kitten is so excited. Next year is going to be very busy, though. I will have
1)Finacial Analysis, MWF 1-1:50
2)Managerial Accounting, MWF 10-10:50
3)Business Finance, T&R 10:40-12
4)General Fitness, T 9-9:50
5)Fundamental of Math, MWF 9-9:50
6)Images and Muslim Women, T&TR 1-1:50
7)and Computer Programming. MWF 2-2:50
I was just going to take College Algebra but I thought a refresher course would be nice and I wanted to take it with my Lil Sis. The General Fitness is rather annoying because it is only worth one credit but it's required, so I don't have a choice. The good thing about it is that my Lil Sis will also be there. Images and Muslim Women is an ID course that we have here at my college and I think it will be interesting. Financial Analysis is just another title for Intermediate Accounting III. Also, I annoyed that the Computer programming course is so late in the day. I'm used to getting done by 2. It's been that way ever since by Freshman year. There ruining my record! How rude.
I finished the book, A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldiers. It was great but in a sad inspiring way. It is so sad what happens to these kids and the hell they go through both during and after the war. While going through the war sounded horrible, the rehibilatation sounded pretty bad also. It would be so hard to help these kids get on track again. I'm currently on the look out for my books about child soldiers and have found two that I plan to order Monday, when I go the bookstore that sells the.
Oh {Kitten says, holding her tail to her head } my head is killing. I have had a headache all day. Why?

Random

Kitten is patiently waiting for these next two days to get over with {it's torture :( } Thanksgiving Break is coming up and I just have to get through Monday and Tuesday. Tomorrow is going to be my worst day. I have French from 10-11, then Management from 11-12, lunch at Jazzman's, then Stats( the horrible quiz over normal distribtion is tomorrow) from 1-2, then I have four hours to do my Systems Analysis and Design homework, then I have the class from 6:00-8:30, after that I have a Management meeting at 9. I'm assuming that the meeting is going to be atleast an hour if not two. By the time I get back, it will be all most time to go to bed. Tuesday won't be near thar bad, thankfully. I have Accounting from 9-10:20 then Philosophy from 10:40-12, after that I'm finished and can go home! :)

My lil sis is doing a very interesting project. For her ID class, she and her team are doing a project on pornography vs nudity/erotica. I do see the difference between the two but it could be so subjunctive. There are many things that I view as erotic art but some one else might view as porn. I can't really say I have a particular reasoning for my judgement on whether something is or isn't porn, it more of a gut reaction. It I feel it is arousing but not necessarily crude, then I say it's erotic art. If I find it crude then I say porn, but since people feels and view are different it would be so hard to classify something as porn or erotic art with any definity.

My projects are not near as exciting. In Management we are doing a project comparing Nike and Adidas. In accounting each person has a history of accounting paper and I doing Enron, which I find the most interest of all my current ones. In Stats we're doing hypothesis testing and so I picked the price of accounting test books to conduct my study. In French, I have to do a presentation of politics in France.

My Lil Sis and I had fun when we went out Friday. I was able to do about 75% of my Christimas shopping finished. We went to 8 China and had chinese which is something that we haven't done in months because we have been so busy. I miss going out shopping{I HATE HOMEWORK}. It's such a good stress reliever.

Everyone keeps asking about internships. My advisor has brought it up, several teachers, now my father. I'm planning on doing one but right now I'm so busy I don't know when I'm going to get the time to look for one. That's kind of an excuse but... I know I should. Maybe I'll start my search over spring break.

Well I'd better get back to the studying.

My Resolution

Sorry about not posting my regular kitty pics in a while but I have been jumping from laptop to laptop but my new one is in, so next post will feature a kitty :)

Kitten has been slacking of late and feeling...well, a little depressed and sad but not sure quite why. Maybe it's the weather or maybe it's the huge homework load or maybe its just some changes that have been going on, it's hard to say but you know what? I have had enough, I'm going to be happy and I'm going to be more dedicated in my work starting now. After all, what do I really have to be unhappy about? I have everything I could want. I feel like I'm being such a baby. "Poor me, I'm so unhappy." You know what I would say if some actually said that to me? I'd tell them to grow up and get over themselves. That they are being childess and selfish. There's no reason for me to feel this way, and it's going to stop right now. Also, have been slacking and procrastenating of late and it just will not do. I want my homework to be well done and completed on time. Absolutely, no more, Kitten says in a very dramatic growl :)

Everything is going well. Didn't have that great of time at work, though. Some people are soooo rude. There is no reason for it. Anyone can have a civil manner, even if you are sick. The arogance of some people is so flustrating. It just makes you want to scream. I can honestly say that I miss working with Alice and I don't like working as a recepionist. My Principles of Management professor read us an article about the ten most stressful jobs in the US. I think recepionist was fourth.

Little Kitten and I finally got our room all decorated{Kitten says a with a little sacrastic smile since it is half way through the first term and we just now decorated}! It looks so nice. Little Kitten's side has several anime pics up, a motivational poster, some decorative chinese fans, and a few cute and quirky little sign that we bought during the Little Italy Festival. My side, is much more personal then it was last year. I mainly had anime pics up but this year I got creative. I decorated my cork board with things from my collge and my highschool. I also put up several pictures of kittens, two rosaries, some chinese fans, and some papers from graduation. The most creative thing that I did was to take my little New Yorker calendar things and put them on paper. The white part of the paper I colored is so it looked a little pretty and less stuck on. I think the room looks rather nice considering we hadn't planned on it that day and we had little to work with.

I miss James, I had a chance to go to Germany with him over fall break but, alas, schools work intervened and kept us apart. I talked to him Friday and he had a rather interesting propostion...;) Now, no minds in the gutter but however I don't think I'm going to talk about it right now. It sounded exciting though, and my life has been liking excitment of late.

I'm not sure what to do about French. I want to learn the language but it's so hard and I'm feeling very stressed with it right now. My question is, do I do the second part of French or not? I'm running out of time since registration starts next week.

Well, I'll try to post again Tuesday or Wednesday.

My Goodbye

{Kitten is curles up in a little ball sad and wondering...}
Kittens feels very alone today, not literally, but mentally and emotionally. A dear friend helped me see that I did not like where my life was going and what I might become if I went down that path. Seeing what I have lost and what I have gained in exchange saddens and dissapoints me. I'm disgusted with myself and I think its going to be awhile before I'll trust myslef again, concerning men anyway.
There nothing I can do about the past but I will not repeat the same mistakes over. I want a normal life, with normal drama {whatever that is}. No more clandestined meetings, covered days, or lying in general. I have gained some foresight from my last two years into... but now it's time to move on, cut ties, and live a normal life.
I've said this before but this time I really mean it. I'm not mad at anyone, I'm not sad because of anyone person. I just feel it's time to let go...

To Breaha: Confessions of a Kitten

{Kitten raises her cute little furry head at the sound of a familar footfall and get's up to give her best friend attention. Purring and rubbing up againt Bri with welcoming attention}

Kitten went to her best friends graduation today. Breaha has been one of my best friends since I can remember. We have went through a lot of things together (first crushes, first loves, breakups, other friends, family problems) but I realized that I have a whole another life that Breaha doesn't know about, or atleast not much.
Well, Bri, here's my sordid little story;) Now before I begin my narrative I need to state somethings. There are many thing that I have done that I'm not proud of. I know you're not religous but I try to be. A lot of what I have done I regret mostly for religous reasons and is the main reason why I have ended things with James. I don't want to feel like a hypocrite anymore. I know that you don't agree with a lot of the Catholic dogma and doctrine but I know that you know the importantance of following your conscience and doing what you, not other people believe what is right. These are all my dirty little secrets. Now we are even. No secrets between friends:)
The Meeting
As you know Bri, James and I met in Chicago at the Palmer House. I wa 18 and he was 42 but I didn't know it at the time. Actually, I orginally had his age at about 35. I was bored and mom had already went to bed but it was only 8 pm. Not ready to turn in I went down to the pool. James was the only one down there, we wound up talking. I'm not going to bore you with the maundane details of what we talked about. He asked me to dinner the next day and I went. Mom always goes to bed so early it was easy to slip away unnoticed. We exchanged cell phone numbers and email address.
Nothing happened for all most a year. My senior was innocent, pretty much. I had my little fling with Brian and we both now how that tunred out. Actually, it was James who pushed me to break with him. When I told James how Brian acted when I mentioned him, James got very concerned and told me that Brian sounded too dangerous for me. He was really there for me when I was going through that break up. Not that you weren't their for me, Bri{Kitten gives Breaha a big hug}. It's just that you both were there for me in differen ways.
What I Really Did Last Summer
Things really started to heat up between James and I last summer, after I had gone through those damned summer classes. I was feeling a little lost and I was a little out of control, although you never seen me when I was like that. No one ever knew that I was sneaking off to see a guy between my shopping trips with you and my long days at home. I was surprised, I thought I would be found out. It seemed so exciting.
It was in July that I first started sleeping with James. Before him, I had never really cared that much about sex but with James it was so tender and erotic. I was confident in himself which made me confident. When the guy feels unconfortable with the way he looks or performs then it makes me uncomfortable also. I'm not going to overshare here but suffice to say that he really brought me out of my shell where the bedroom is concerned.
We also went places together. He took me to England, France, and Mexico. Remember when everyone kept asking me if I would nervous when I left at Christmas to go to Mexico for Intercambio. Everyone thought that it was the first time out of the country{Kitten smiles mischievously} it wasn't, which was why I wasn't nervous. That and James was at the Cancun airport to meet me.
You might me asking yourself, "How did she manage to do this?" Well, it wasn't that hard really. While we(you and I) went out once a week, there were a few weeks inbetween where we didn't go out. It was during those few weeks that I went off globe trotting. As for mom, I told her some lame story that she knew was a lie but I was of legal age (19) and she just trusted that I knew what I was doing.
But wait. I said I went a little wild and having a little tete-a-tete with an older man isn't all that while. {Ok Bri, I know your shaking your heading and disagreeing with me but be a good audience and play along;) } It didn't do anything all that wild guess. I did get pretty close to being drunk a few times. I flirted (playfully, mind you) with a few very handsome men, who, rumor has it, have very shady pasts. I also did something else but I feel so ackwarded saying it which I don't know why. It's actually really funny. Maybe I'll tell you in private. It was what I considered one of my most wildest things I have done;)
All right Bri, there it is, with the exception of one little thing, here are all my secrtes. Rereading what I wrote, it doesn't sound all that exciting but I'll leave the judgement up to you.
{Kitten flicks her tail in goodbye and dissapears around the corner.}
