{Kitten bounces into blog and pounces on top of velvet cushion, dust flies every where, I need to do some cleaning after being gone for so long} I can't wait for this weekend to come. Lil Kitten, her boyfriend, and I are going out. It's time for some shopping! I feel sorry for Lil Kitten's boyfriend, though. We'll call him Dereck for the moment. Poor Dereck is going to be stuck with the lot of us running from shop to shop, which is probably any man's most dreaded nightmare. However, I have told Lil Kitten that, under no curcumstances, is she to let me buy any shirts, jeans, dresses, or dress pants. If she has to I have given her permission to hurt me. I haved banned myself from buying any more clothes as of today. I packed my winter clothes today because I'll be moving in a few weeks and I wanted to get them out of the way. I had 2 big suitcases, 1 medium, and 2 small suitcases filled with clothes :/ While I could overlook that amount, that was just my winter wardrobe. My summer is almost as big and then I have clothing that I consider year around ware. That list does not include all my sweater, coats, sleep where, and bras, panties, and socks. Therefore, I shall not buy another stich of clothing even if it kills me.

I have read some many books in the last year that I need to write on but that's going to take a while so I'll talk about my current read, which is The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton by Miranda Neville. I was introduced to this authoress through the Ballroom Blog, which is now one of my favorite blogs. I've picked up several of her books over the the school year but this is the first one that I have read. At first I was a little unsure about it but after awhile I got quite caught up in the story and I can now say that I am quite a fan of Ms. Neville's. The heroine of this book is named Celia Seaton and she has been left penniless, with a broken engagement, and only one connection in all over England. She is kidnapped and taken to an old house where Mr. Tarquin Compton, the hero stumbles upon the scene and is knocked unconscious by the kidnapper. Both Tarquin and Celia escape and have to wondered across the Yorkshire moors, with no money, no way weapon, and half clothed! Because Tarquin was rather cruel to Celia during her debut, Celia deliberately makes up a factious identity for Tarquin, who lost his memory when he was hit on the head. Eventually Tarquin does remember who he is but not before he and Celia have already slept together. He offers marriage but Celia turns it down. In the meantime, the kidnapper is still after Celia and no one can figure out why since she has nothing of value. Eventually the figure out that she has a priceless diamond hidden in her childhood rattel. I have not finished it yet and that's where I'm pretty much up to. I didn't write alot about the story and the other people but if your interested try reading the book some time.

Wow this looks like such a long post. I have found several new Chinese artist that I like but I'm afraid I forgot the name and have to go back through my favorits video to find them. Any way here is Evanescen new single that I love.

It's Been Forever!

Wow, its been forever since I wrote anything here! Kitten's been very busy this last year and kind of forgot to write. Just a quick up date- I just completed my first year in the nursing program which was hard but fun. We had clinical at a nursing home which I much preferred over the hospital. Actually, I'm quite afraid for regular clinical where we go to our local hospital but I'm sure that I'll get over it once I go there a few times. Also, this last school year was my first year commuting instead of staying up at the dorms. I really disliked my new college dorm rooms and the people were so unfriendly so I decided to stay home. Thankfully, we had an incredibly warm winter so I was not bothered with mountains of snow to drive through :) This year I am still going to commute but I'm renting a house. I stayed at my mother's house last year but I need more space. The house I'm renting is really close to both my mother, father, and work so it works at  out really nicely. Um...other news, let's see...Lil Kitten is actually working at the Clinic but she took over my job in Clinton, so I'm only working in Rockville. I needed an easy summer since I have not had one off in three years. I'm taking Healthcare Economics ( really, its not as boring as its sounds, or so I keep telling myself). I plan to try and start blogging regularly again but then again I've said that so the past three years and it keeps coming off and on.

Back to School :)

It's that time of year again. Yes, it's back to school time { everyone between the ages 6 to 25 moans}. Yesterday was my first day of class and my body turned traitor on me and I came down with the flu. My throat felt raw and my I was sure some one had hit me in the head with a hammer because my head was hurting so badly. Thankfully, today was better but I still haven't felt great. Anyway, I like all of my classes but I have a feeling that my mythology professor is going to be a stick in the mud. He gave us assigned seats for crying out loud! Are we in pre-school or something? I can't remember the last time I was assigned to a seat. What really annoys me is that I'm in the third row which is second to last. In the second and first row are all the tall guys so I can't see the blackboard, which is going to make things interesting. Other an Mythology, I'm taking British War and Immigration ( a required English class for some weird reason), Health and Wellness,  US Reconstruction, and Pathophysiology. I feel like this semester is going to be rather dull because most of my classes are General Studies. Since I still haven't taken my TEASE test, I won't be entering the nursing program till the winter term. A note to any freshman reading this. If your going to change your major do it early or you will wind up going to school forever like me.

Besides school, I had a nice encounter with guy a local bookstore and I realize I don't flirt very well, at least with guys my own age. I haven't really felt attracted to anyone for a while and he was fairly cute so I thought I'd give it a try. I guess I don't completely make an idiot out of myself since he asked for my number but I'm not sure if anything will come of it. But it did get me to thinking that I need to get out more. It's been 2 1/2 years since my last real relationship. I'm not really looking for extremely serious but I think I am ready for something... just not sure what.

A Coffee Day

{ Kitten wakes up, stretches, and stumbles to get a cup of coffee} I like getting up early but I'm not an early "doer." I much prefer to rest, sip coffee and enjoy a little me time before getting started for work. Today is one of those days where I have to start my school work, alas, so I thought I'd procrastinate a little and blog :)

I'm so glad essay 3 is finished. I felt so stupid because I screwed up the assignment royally and I didn't realize it till after I had submitted to be peer reviewed :( I felt really embarrassed because it was such an essay assignment and the professor had stated exactly what we were supposed to do. For some reason, I didn't argue my point; the paper was mostly factual....ok it was all factual. My mind was taking a vacation on a tropical island while I was writing it apparently.

Lil Sis and I have a sleep over planned Thursday! We haven't had one in a year I think and we have a lot of things planned. It makes me think about sleep overs we have had in the past which makes me a little nostalgic. I miss being little and not having to worry about a thing. I want to be carefree again!!!

It is officially August and in a little over three weeks, the Fall Term will have started. I want to take Modern Britain but I would have to drop a class and that class would be only an elective while all the others I am signed up for are classes I need to take. But its with Land (one of my favorite professors) and I like Britain. It would also go nicely with an English class I'm taking called British Immigration. I'm not that obsessed with England but it was either Brit. Immigration or Baseball! Would you believe they have an entire class devoted to literature on baseball!

I've been meaning to look for some foreign music to post but by having to redo essay 3, I haven't had a chance but I did find an interesting one. KurtHugoSchneider, is one of my favorite channels and he made this medley of songs by Rihanna. The singer is Matisse and I had never heard of her before but she has an amazing voice, so...

Shopping and the Weather

{Kitten sstaggers into blog, drops packages and falls down onto velvet cushion in a state of heat exhaustion} I'm serious contemplating having my pretty mane cute! It's so bloody hot and today is going to be 104! {Cries} I like warm weather but I draw the line when we get into triple digits, Mother Nature. Turn down the heat this instant! We can't take it any more.

Yesterday, I finished up my back to school shopping. I'm stocked back up on supplies and clothes for the new school year. I love back to school shopping. It's so much fun. You get to spend hours upon hours dragging everyone around in the heat searching for the perfect purse and jeans lol. {Yes, I mean. I know ;)
But no, I think I am all set for the new school year. I'm happy that I'm commuting this year and I think it will be a fun experience. At least I won't be stuck in a dorm all the time.

Lil Sis, her paramour, and I are going out later this afternoon! I haven't gottent to see Lil Sis very much and we have such little time left. We'll probably go to the usual places, Books A Million and PetLand. Most likely that is all we'll have time for.

I have been thinking about getting a Beta fish to keep me company in my study room while I'm working away. I shall name him Lord Byron. Lil Kitten had a Beta named Leonardo DeVinci put her cat ate him! Poor DeVinci, he died so young!

Book Reviews

Wow July is almost over and August will be here soon. I'll get to start Christmas shopping soon!!!! I like to get that out of the way early so I can just kick back and just enjoy the holiday and not worry about fighting the traffic. Anyway...I said that I would do a book review and I was going to do one about I book I finished a few weeks ago but I have to go on an rant about an one I just bought so...

Diana Palmer used to be one of my favorite romance writers ever since I was 14. I lived in Paper Rose, Lord of the Desert, Once in Paris, and Desperado not to mention her Soldier of Fortune series.. They were all good and unique however, many of her recent books have been repetious. I was so excited when Meciless came out because I was hoping that this one would be better, would be unique but I'm 150pages into it and its the same old same old. If this was the first book you'd ever have read from her, you might like it because the action parts are good but the romance part is the same as several other books. I feel like I am reading Outsider, another one of her's, but with different characters. Also, and maybe it is just me, but her characters here lately have been rather droll and too passive. In early stories, her characters had so much more spunk. Oh, well, she is starting a new series set in Wyoming but if its just about cowboys I don't think I'll bother but I will at least read the first book to see if its any good.

Back to the book I was orginally going to blog about. I finally finished War Dogs. I believe I mentioned the book back in January when I first about it but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I finished it. Al Venter is a great writer. His books are vivid, humorous, at times, and serious at other times. It was nice having all the pictures so you could a face with the name. The book is about mercenaries and their role in today's world. He did have to go back to some history about different things but it was interesting none the less. I liked his argument that mercs and PMC are essential to countries now a days and that they can be a very valuable asset. It was a very long book, with around 500 pages however, definetly worth the read. I started another book where he tells about his exploits as a journalist. In November, his book about Neal Ellis comes out and I'm very excited about it because, I found him to be quite a fascinating character.

Well, there's two book reviews. I'm so behind and I just realized I haven't posted any music for a while and I haven't had much time look for new forgien artist so I'll put one up by one of my favorite American ones.

It's Been Forever

Wow, its been months since I've posted anything! I have been such a busy kitten of late with classes, and books and these silly computers problems that plague me all the time. I truly am cursed. Recently, I have been having so difficulities with my laptop and I took it in the shop to get ( yes, I have a computer macanic) and he told me that my hard drive was corrupted. What! How does one corrupt a hard drive anyway? I haven't been looking at anything naughty, so how could it become corrupt ; ) Then, to add insult to injury, my battery up and died on me. So I picked up my computer from the shop yesterday but it wasn't completely put back together. The hard drive has been cleaned or something like that, but I am running on no battery. As long as it's plugged in, I'm good. If I unplug it for any reason it shuts down. I was doing transcription last night and my father had me three revisions. That's not so bad right? Well, it is when, every time I took it off the charger it shut down and took 3 to 4 minutes booting up each time. It took 45 minutes to get the bloody papers ready :(

As far as class gone, I seem to be moving along well enough. Sociology, which I took for Summer 1, was interesting and very interactive. I really liked the professor and I passed the class with an A which is always a plus. Now, I'm taking Advanced Exposity Writing. Sounds icky right? Well it's not as bad as it sounds but I am flustrated. This class is pretty much the same class I took when I was at Saint Mary's! It's actually easier then the other.

As usually, Lil Sis and I haven't been able to go out and do as much as we would have liked. Originally, we had planned to go to Turkey Run and go canoing and hiking. Swiming and a trip to the Botanical gardens were also on the agenda. I had even hoped we could get to Chicago to see the muesem. Alas, between my classes, and learning how to do medical coding, and keeping up with the filing at the offices, I don't have much time :( Fall term will be starting in 4 weeks but that still gives a while. I know we won't be able to make the Gardens and Chicago, the rest of the list is still do able : )

Here lately, it has been dreadly hot and Kitten is very dissatified and Lil Kitten is very very dissatisfied. To me the perfect temp is in the mid to high 70's. Yesterday was 104!!!!!!! Ugh, I don't believe we have a reprieve insight for sometime.

I have been reading alot and have several book reviews to do and this time I shall post them. Maybe I shall post one tonight.

Kitten is so tired, maybe a little cat nap and then work...
