Back to School :)

It's that time of year again. Yes, it's back to school time { everyone between the ages 6 to 25 moans}. Yesterday was my first day of class and my body turned traitor on me and I came down with the flu. My throat felt raw and my I was sure some one had hit me in the head with a hammer because my head was hurting so badly. Thankfully, today was better but I still haven't felt great. Anyway, I like all of my classes but I have a feeling that my mythology professor is going to be a stick in the mud. He gave us assigned seats for crying out loud! Are we in pre-school or something? I can't remember the last time I was assigned to a seat. What really annoys me is that I'm in the third row which is second to last. In the second and first row are all the tall guys so I can't see the blackboard, which is going to make things interesting. Other an Mythology, I'm taking British War and Immigration ( a required English class for some weird reason), Health and Wellness,  US Reconstruction, and Pathophysiology. I feel like this semester is going to be rather dull because most of my classes are General Studies. Since I still haven't taken my TEASE test, I won't be entering the nursing program till the winter term. A note to any freshman reading this. If your going to change your major do it early or you will wind up going to school forever like me.

Besides school, I had a nice encounter with guy a local bookstore and I realize I don't flirt very well, at least with guys my own age. I haven't really felt attracted to anyone for a while and he was fairly cute so I thought I'd give it a try. I guess I don't completely make an idiot out of myself since he asked for my number but I'm not sure if anything will come of it. But it did get me to thinking that I need to get out more. It's been 2 1/2 years since my last real relationship. I'm not really looking for extremely serious but I think I am ready for something... just not sure what.

A Coffee Day

{ Kitten wakes up, stretches, and stumbles to get a cup of coffee} I like getting up early but I'm not an early "doer." I much prefer to rest, sip coffee and enjoy a little me time before getting started for work. Today is one of those days where I have to start my school work, alas, so I thought I'd procrastinate a little and blog :)

I'm so glad essay 3 is finished. I felt so stupid because I screwed up the assignment royally and I didn't realize it till after I had submitted to be peer reviewed :( I felt really embarrassed because it was such an essay assignment and the professor had stated exactly what we were supposed to do. For some reason, I didn't argue my point; the paper was mostly factual....ok it was all factual. My mind was taking a vacation on a tropical island while I was writing it apparently.

Lil Sis and I have a sleep over planned Thursday! We haven't had one in a year I think and we have a lot of things planned. It makes me think about sleep overs we have had in the past which makes me a little nostalgic. I miss being little and not having to worry about a thing. I want to be carefree again!!!

It is officially August and in a little over three weeks, the Fall Term will have started. I want to take Modern Britain but I would have to drop a class and that class would be only an elective while all the others I am signed up for are classes I need to take. But its with Land (one of my favorite professors) and I like Britain. It would also go nicely with an English class I'm taking called British Immigration. I'm not that obsessed with England but it was either Brit. Immigration or Baseball! Would you believe they have an entire class devoted to literature on baseball!

I've been meaning to look for some foreign music to post but by having to redo essay 3, I haven't had a chance but I did find an interesting one. KurtHugoSchneider, is one of my favorite channels and he made this medley of songs by Rihanna. The singer is Matisse and I had never heard of her before but she has an amazing voice, so...

Shopping and the Weather

{Kitten sstaggers into blog, drops packages and falls down onto velvet cushion in a state of heat exhaustion} I'm serious contemplating having my pretty mane cute! It's so bloody hot and today is going to be 104! {Cries} I like warm weather but I draw the line when we get into triple digits, Mother Nature. Turn down the heat this instant! We can't take it any more.

Yesterday, I finished up my back to school shopping. I'm stocked back up on supplies and clothes for the new school year. I love back to school shopping. It's so much fun. You get to spend hours upon hours dragging everyone around in the heat searching for the perfect purse and jeans lol. {Yes, I mean. I know ;)
But no, I think I am all set for the new school year. I'm happy that I'm commuting this year and I think it will be a fun experience. At least I won't be stuck in a dorm all the time.

Lil Sis, her paramour, and I are going out later this afternoon! I haven't gottent to see Lil Sis very much and we have such little time left. We'll probably go to the usual places, Books A Million and PetLand. Most likely that is all we'll have time for.

I have been thinking about getting a Beta fish to keep me company in my study room while I'm working away. I shall name him Lord Byron. Lil Kitten had a Beta named Leonardo DeVinci put her cat ate him! Poor DeVinci, he died so young!

Book Reviews

Wow July is almost over and August will be here soon. I'll get to start Christmas shopping soon!!!! I like to get that out of the way early so I can just kick back and just enjoy the holiday and not worry about fighting the traffic. Anyway...I said that I would do a book review and I was going to do one about I book I finished a few weeks ago but I have to go on an rant about an one I just bought so...

Diana Palmer used to be one of my favorite romance writers ever since I was 14. I lived in Paper Rose, Lord of the Desert, Once in Paris, and Desperado not to mention her Soldier of Fortune series.. They were all good and unique however, many of her recent books have been repetious. I was so excited when Meciless came out because I was hoping that this one would be better, would be unique but I'm 150pages into it and its the same old same old. If this was the first book you'd ever have read from her, you might like it because the action parts are good but the romance part is the same as several other books. I feel like I am reading Outsider, another one of her's, but with different characters. Also, and maybe it is just me, but her characters here lately have been rather droll and too passive. In early stories, her characters had so much more spunk. Oh, well, she is starting a new series set in Wyoming but if its just about cowboys I don't think I'll bother but I will at least read the first book to see if its any good.

Back to the book I was orginally going to blog about. I finally finished War Dogs. I believe I mentioned the book back in January when I first about it but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I finished it. Al Venter is a great writer. His books are vivid, humorous, at times, and serious at other times. It was nice having all the pictures so you could a face with the name. The book is about mercenaries and their role in today's world. He did have to go back to some history about different things but it was interesting none the less. I liked his argument that mercs and PMC are essential to countries now a days and that they can be a very valuable asset. It was a very long book, with around 500 pages however, definetly worth the read. I started another book where he tells about his exploits as a journalist. In November, his book about Neal Ellis comes out and I'm very excited about it because, I found him to be quite a fascinating character.

Well, there's two book reviews. I'm so behind and I just realized I haven't posted any music for a while and I haven't had much time look for new forgien artist so I'll put one up by one of my favorite American ones.

It's Been Forever

Wow, its been months since I've posted anything! I have been such a busy kitten of late with classes, and books and these silly computers problems that plague me all the time. I truly am cursed. Recently, I have been having so difficulities with my laptop and I took it in the shop to get ( yes, I have a computer macanic) and he told me that my hard drive was corrupted. What! How does one corrupt a hard drive anyway? I haven't been looking at anything naughty, so how could it become corrupt ; ) Then, to add insult to injury, my battery up and died on me. So I picked up my computer from the shop yesterday but it wasn't completely put back together. The hard drive has been cleaned or something like that, but I am running on no battery. As long as it's plugged in, I'm good. If I unplug it for any reason it shuts down. I was doing transcription last night and my father had me three revisions. That's not so bad right? Well, it is when, every time I took it off the charger it shut down and took 3 to 4 minutes booting up each time. It took 45 minutes to get the bloody papers ready :(

As far as class gone, I seem to be moving along well enough. Sociology, which I took for Summer 1, was interesting and very interactive. I really liked the professor and I passed the class with an A which is always a plus. Now, I'm taking Advanced Exposity Writing. Sounds icky right? Well it's not as bad as it sounds but I am flustrated. This class is pretty much the same class I took when I was at Saint Mary's! It's actually easier then the other.

As usually, Lil Sis and I haven't been able to go out and do as much as we would have liked. Originally, we had planned to go to Turkey Run and go canoing and hiking. Swiming and a trip to the Botanical gardens were also on the agenda. I had even hoped we could get to Chicago to see the muesem. Alas, between my classes, and learning how to do medical coding, and keeping up with the filing at the offices, I don't have much time :( Fall term will be starting in 4 weeks but that still gives a while. I know we won't be able to make the Gardens and Chicago, the rest of the list is still do able : )

Here lately, it has been dreadly hot and Kitten is very dissatified and Lil Kitten is very very dissatisfied. To me the perfect temp is in the mid to high 70's. Yesterday was 104!!!!!!! Ugh, I don't believe we have a reprieve insight for sometime.

I have been reading alot and have several book reviews to do and this time I shall post them. Maybe I shall post one tonight.

Kitten is so tired, maybe a little cat nap and then work...

It's Over !!!!!!!!

{Kitten bounds into blog with a spring in her step} Yes, finals are over and I am officially out for a month. What summer break is longer than that? Well, it is but I have summer classes that start in about a month but one class is sooooo much better then 7.
Why is it bad things happen at the worst times? I have been healthy all school year. There were the occasional colds but nothing terrible...until finals week. The Friday before finals week, Lil Sis and I along with two of her friends went to see another friend at his dance recital. My throat was really tight and I just felt off. I knew something was up and of course, Saturday, I felt like I was dying. Unfortunately my entire finals week was terrible. Do you know how hard it is to force yourself to stay up till 2 in am when you can barely breath and can't stop coughing? Well, I somehow got through the week with decent grades on my finals expect for Microbiology but I had good grades in before so that's ok. I barely passes Physiology Lab but I did by 3 points.
This week has been terribly busy and I have quite a bit to write. There is a few book reviews to do and a few music reviews also. Plus I plan to write all about my upcoming summer projects! Unfortunately, I have no new gossip to report.
Oh! Guess what? Kitten got a new hair color. I love my stylist. I never come out looking anything like the picture but I my hair always comes out looking good. I had a picture of light blond with darker blond highlights. I came out with a mixture of platinum blond, copper, and red (natural) lol. I love her randomness. So far most people like it but I have yet heard from my Lil or Cowgirl
Oh oh! {Kitten jumps up and down on windowsill, loses footing and falls on velvet cushion} I have a mystery for you. It seems that ever once in a while money comes up missing in our house. I thought it was either my half brother, who has a history of pinching money or my aunt who has dementia and sometimes miss places thing. Hoever, in the past few days something really odd has been happening. Money has been randomly appearing! Yes, my mother was going through her purse to find something when she found $60  when she swears she only had $25 in there the other night. She said it was one 20 and a 5 but in the morning she had 3 20's. Then on Sunday we went out to eat. The money pouch that I carry had two 20's in it folded along the middle on Friday. Sunday I found 5 20's. How do you miss count that? I suppose I shouldn't complain, afterall, appearing money is better than dissappearing money but it does make me curious...which isn't really good for cats I hear.

A New Obession

I am a Kitten of many interest and I have found a new favorite channel about a month ago and I can't keep myself from rewatching atleast one a day. No he isn't a singer but he is forgieng....I think? The channel is called FPS Russia. He a guy who is either Russian or pretending to be Russian but that is not the point of the channel. He shows off different guns and such which is all very interesting. It might sound very droll but he has a funny sense of humor which is my main reason for watching it. Well that and he is a little hot, well to me anyway but I always did prefer alpha males. If you like guns or just want a laugh check out these videos and go to his channel.
Sorry I haven't been able to blog more...finals coming up in two weeks.... yuck :(
I think the first one is rather funny even though he isn't showing you how to use them.

and
Here's the link the channel if interested....

Cops and classes!!!

{Kitten comes into blog and jumps as door slams behind } It has been a rather exciting morning so far. Something very interesting happened in Physiology today. We were talking about testis ( yes, the ever so fun reproductive chapter) when there was an ever so gentle knock at the door. Professor A stopps his lecture looks around and asks if someone had knocked on the door. So he goes over and steps out of the class room. A minute later he steps back in with 2 police officers. They asked if this guy was in here, they looked around for a second and left. Everyone started laughing and Professor A waited about two minutes and before he started his lecture said if ----- was in here he might want to stay underneath his chair a little bit longer" lol

Here something to listen to. Been feeling nostalgic so I found some Nickleback

{ Kitten walks into blog with a bunch of Spring flowers freshly picked} It is so nice out. Today is a little chiller than yesterday but the sun is shining and it is supposed to get up to 60, so I'm happy. I haven't been able to post in a while because finals have been coming up, ick : ( I have so much to do. This semester I have two comprehensive finals so it is rather difficult but I guess it is better then having them all comprehensive though.

Not much has been going except for studying. My Cognitive psychology presentation is coming up and I am a little worried about it. It is something like the 22nd. I didn't really want it to be that late but she didn't give us a choice. Also, I took my third physiology test but don't know how it turned out. Unfortunately, I don't have much to say so I'll leave you with a video : ) I was driving back from class today and this song came on. I had not heard it forever. I doesn't really fit my mood today but it does bring back memories...

Rants and Randomness

Ugh, class are not appealing to me today. Tempted to just skip and have a "me" day but I won't. I think it is Spring fever. It is just too nice of a day to be stuck inside a classroom study. Kittens need fresh air and sunshine!

I'm slightly annoyed at my Early Modern European History teacher. I worked my tail off on that last test and I recieved at B+. Both sides of the sheet were completely written on down to the last line so why wasn't it an A? It just really makes me mad when people who barely study, not to mention never read the assigned readings, take a test and get A's. I participate in class discussions, do all the readings, and do outlines for my test and still get B+! Oh well, not much I can do about it.

I left my charger at home and did not realize it last night till my phone was almost dead. Well that is quite a predicament seeing that on our campus, we have no landlines. Then I remebered I still had the USB cord thingy that plugs my phone into my computer and I could charge it on my laptop. The bad thing is that if I do it that way, it is insanely slow. It was 11:00 when I pluged it in and 12:20 when I took it out. Getting into bed later than normal is why I am so tired this morning.

Signed my up for an apartment yesterday, however, I'm not sure when I find out when or if I'll get one next fall. They are supposed to call me to let me know to come down and sign the contract if I do. If I don't? Well, I think I will just commute till the winter and then, in the second semester, get a dorm room.

Just a Spring Day : )

{Kitten comes hopping into blog and falls down into the sunlight} These last two days have been incredibly nice! The temperature has been in the upper 60s and I was told today could get into the 70s!!! That makes me a very happy kitty : ) Not to mention it is now officially Spring. Yesterday, I went to Lil Sis's campus and we had a nice, albeit, short walk. Poor Lil Sis, though, she was stung by a bee. We were sitting in the graveyard ( Yes there is a graveyard on campus where all the Sisters are buried) under a tree just resting. I had seen some bees flying around but I didn't think they would bother us. I was wrong. After Lil Kitten was stung, we were subsequently chased out of the graveyard. Those bees are quite bosssy aren't they?

I am also happy because I found out yesterday that I that I recieved a B+ on my Microbiology Lab Mid-term and that our nursing test, that I though I didn't do so well on, had an error, so it is in the process of being fixed. Then, today I found out that I got a B on Physiology Lecture and Cognitive Psychology tests.

The only sucky part of this this week is that I found out that room selection is this week. That means that there would be no way for me to room with Lil Sis if she did transfer. In light of this new information, I have almost defintely decided to just get an apertment. Yes, it is convient to be on campus and just have to class. It is going to take more of my time but the campus apartments are not that far away and I can have my own privacy and room to move around. I am in a "double room" and it is pretty small. The single room have barely any space.

No another note, I was talking to an old friend a few days ago and we started talking about Japan and we eventuall got to talking about Japanese music. I have to admit, I don't know all that much about Japanese artist but she recommended a singer named JUJU. I really liked her and put one of her videos below. The title is in Japanese so I'm not sure what it is. The person who uploaded the vid is axl800.

More Music

Oh another week is here, which means another fives days of class, which does not make for a very happy kitty in the lest and unfortunately I have a Microbiology test Friday. Yuck! Because of this I won't have too much time to write, so I thought I would post something quick tonight. A few days ago I mentioned that I had a new Russia artist that I found. I forgot her name but found it today after a few minutes of random typing. Her name is Alsou or in Cryllic Алсу. She was on Eurovision in 2000 and hosted it in 2009. According to Wikipedia, she has 3 Russian albumns and 2 English albumns, although I don't think any of her English ones were released in the US unfortunately. Here is her website http://www.alsou.ru/ however, I could not find a way to translate it, so it might be a little difficult to read if you don't know Russian but she has her music videos up on her site so it is more convient to find them then on YouTube.

The top video is from ello, the second video is from la0stakid, the third video is from reyesphile and the bottom video is from gothieaux.

The Not So Great Week

{Kitten steps into blog but slips on something, slides all the way across room, and lands in water bowl} It has just been one of those weeks where nothing has gone right. My Psychology teacher cancelled class Monday...but wait, isn't that a plus? Well yes it is but she forgot to tell us that we had two assignments due Wednesday so now I am down about ten points. Then I found out that I did not do so good on my nursing test and yesterday I learn that I did terrible on my Physiology Lab test. Speaking of Physiology, I had a test in lecture today and I just don't know how I did which up the wall. If I did bad I want to know so I can get upset and get over it. Finally, as if my body was trying to add insult to injury, I have been sick off and on the entire week! I sincerely hope everyone has had a better week than me.

However, Mother Nature seems to be taking pitty on this distraught kitty and has warmed the weather up a bit. Today is supposed to be in the 60's and tomorrow is going to hit 70 : ) Yay!!!!! My Lil Sis and I are are planning to go on a nice prommande around her campus. Unfortunately the flowers are not out yet. Her campus, my old one too, is so beautiful in the Spring and Summer. It is off the in Woods and it is like having a college in a secret garden. Also, I am supposed to see Cowgirl and her new baby Saturday, of which I am so excited because I have not had a chance to see the little guy yet.

All right, so I realized last night I have not put up in forgien music in a while. I meant to go back to Russian, but I can't seem to find the video's I want so I shall come back to that in a week or so. Since Russia has been put on hold why don't we try so arabic music. Nancy Ajram is one of my favorite (well, truthfully, the only) arabic singer. She is from Labanon and was born in 1983. She actually has a really nice website that gives more info that I can. Here is the link: http://www.nancyajramonline.com/en/ . This is in english but I think you can change to different languages. This music video, uploaded and translated by clintoncaudill on YouTube. The title is called  "Ehsas Jdeed."

Kitten and the Bug

{Kitten creeps into blog, sees something out of the corner of her eye, and bolts to climb onto the windowsill.} Why is Kitten so jumpy? Well, I have been visited by a very creepy looking bug and it has left me a little jumpy. Yesterday, I was sitting on my bed, reading my novel, when I see something brown moving quickly across the floor. I looked over and there was three inch long legged bug going as fast as his little legs could carry him. While some kittens love to play with bugs, this kitty all but faints at the sight of them. So what did I do? Well, after giving a "Yeeeek!" I threw my book at him. The bug did not go splat! like I had planned. I missed, as if to mock me, he climbed up on my novel and stayed there for about five minutes before deciding to go under my desk. I was in quite a predicament because I knew that I would never be able to sleep with that freak of bug in the same room. I decided I was going to have to set my fear aside and take this bug out. So I stood up on my bed and crossed over to my chair and sat on my desk. I happened to have my coffee pot going. It was lucky that the bug was in a spot out in the opening, since he had made the mistake of moving under my desk to right by my dresser. I felt a slight feeling of guilt at killing him by scalding, then I looked down at all those legs and decided, oh well, and poured the coffee. I poured quite abit and had a huge mess but I killed the bug!!! Yes I am bug free... I think....

Kitten's Spring Break

{In trots into blog after a very busy week} I can't believe Spring Break is already almost over but just 8 weeks left till Summer vacation : ) This has been a rather dramatic week. My half brother was being an idot and causing all kinds of trouble, I finally got to talk with James, and unfortunately, I was not able to see my Lil Sis as much as I would have liked.

I was supposed to see James today but I called him Wednesday and told him that a phone call would have to work because I had some things to do Friday. Anyway, I found that Aurora is going to have a baby! Which would explain some earlier drama that I had been left out of over the last couple of months. She is 4 1/2 months along so should have him or her sometime in August. Unfortunately I'm not sure when I will be able to see her and then baby since school will start back up again in August also.

Lil Sis, her new boyfriend, and moi went to town and had a nice time last Saturday. I had met him last August but just for a few minutes so I did not really get a chance to talk to him. I had a nice time and he seems like a nice guy. We went to PetLand and tried to hold a puppy but we were not able to because they were so busy. Then we we went over to the mall and walked around. Lil Sis, grudgingly told me that he was very amused at the way I tortured Lil Sis. I told her that now she had a purpose to all the pain I cause she had to be in the entertainment lol.

The the one thing that was a little disheartening about this Spring Break was that other than today, the weather has been fairly cold and damp. However, it usually is which is why I wish they would wait a few weeks to have it but, of course, they're not.

I have a new artist I found that I plan to write on soon. Bye bye till then

Japan's Earthquake

In the past few months there has been many changes. Egypt's President stepped down, there is fighting in Libya, and now a terrible earthquake happened. Japan really got hit hard. I have a few friends there but thankfully have heard from them all. Eri said that she was fine but was stuck at the station till tomorrow morning : ( Poor thing. I heard that other country were hit by the tsunami. I hope anyone reading this in the area is all right. Your in my pryers. Here is a video I found on youtube that was just post a few minutes ago.

Oh, the last post I wrote was not finished so sorry about that. I was interrupted half way through. I'll finish it later today.

Jena Lee- Mon Ange

Bonjour just dropped in to let you know about a new music video from Jena Lee. It just came out today and after watching it about ten times I think it is one of my favorites. I looked for one from her channel but it doesn't look like they have put it up yet. This was uploaded by Universal Music France.

One more week !!

{Kitten trots into blog with a spring in her step and wag in her tail} Yes, I am in a wonderful mood today. Why? Well, in a week I shall be on Spring Break, relaxing the days away. I plan redocrate my room, go have something done to with fur, and sleep in. Plus I am finally going to get to see my Lil Sis and have a shopping session with her. Yay :)

I also have a meeting...a meeting I am not looking so forward to. James called me last week being cryptic, as usually, and said that he talked with me. I asked if it was about Aurora but he said it wan't so I am a very confused kitten. My relationship with James has been rather shaky for the past five months and I'm not use why he would need to see my and why a simple phone call would not suffice. In case your not certain who in the world I'm talking about, James is a guy I dated for almost two years and I ended it about a year and half ago. We have been on pretty good terms until something with Aurora came up and he started to make me wonder if I ever really knew him. He is so secretive and had been so deceptive me recently I don't feel like I can trust him anymore. He is meeting me next Wednesday so maybe I shall find all about it then.

Speaking of strange occurances, I have noticed that my computer has been getting alot of attacks and I also seem to be getting quite a collection of tracking cookies lately. I ran a scan last Thursday and 62 cookies were deleted plus I found out there there had been two major attacks on my computer and three medium level attacks. All in one week! Now maybe I am over reacting because that my be an average number for a person like me. I don't think I go to all that many sights that are questionable but how else am I getting all these attacks and cookies?

Chaning topics, I have decided to wait till next semester to apply for the nursing program. I just cannot find the time to study for the entrance examination and do all the other things that are rquired to get in. I figure that next semester I can take the limited amount of classes and have plenty of time to study and start in the program in the winter.

I actually have decided to make an erotica blog that will becoming soon. I'll put a few pieces up and see if I get any negative reaction. It might be up either this week but possible next.

Here is a little clip of two kitties, by Lookatthenob, to mke you smile :)

Two More Weeks!

{Kitten walks into blog still trying to get my fluffy fur back into place} No, Kitten was not out fighting and making a racket like some kittens are know for; no I just happened to get drenched not once but twice and my fur is still trying to come out of it :( Yes yesterday was a very rainy day but quess what! {jumps up and down in excitment} I....can't tell you right this moment because it is 9:17 and I have to get ready for class but I shall give my exciting report Friday  afternoon.
Oh and what do people think of erotica. I write some and have debated putting up a blog with just that but I'm worried it might upset an unsuspecting person who venters in. I know there is a feature that allows you to post a message saying the content is only for those 18 and older but it is so much fun to write that I might but it up.
Well since this was a boring post I shall leave you with a funny clip. This is from 999CrypticAFV. He takes alot of the clips from America's Funnies Home Videos and does his own compliation. Check out his channel if you like but I have learned that the sign that appears in the videos about the channel being addictive is true. Once you start you can't stop. This channel might be the only thing keeping me sane right now lol

Kitten's Busy Week

{Kitten looks up startled at the sound of visitors after falling asleep} It is finally break time for this little kitten. The past week two weeks have been nothing but tests, quizzes, and the occasional essay. I took my last test for awhile so yay! Now I have all these updates and where do I start...

Well the good news is that I received a B on Nursing exam, B on psychology, and an A on my History. Also Cowgirl had her baby and is now at home with Little Tim :) The bad new is that I shall have to take my TEASE ( nursing entrance exams over) because I did not do so well on the math.

That is the good and the bad but now would you like to here the strange new? To start out with, I was procrastinating one even last week and starting googling Russian Gang Tattoo's. What? Why would a little kitten look up such an odd thing? Well, originally I happened on to a site that was talking about the five most dangerous countries to visit and Russia was one of them. This intrigued me because while I had heard of the Russian Mafia, I had never really given any thought to Russia being a dangerous country. On thing lead to another and I found myself watching a video that showed all these different Russian gang tattoos. Here is pic.

Well any way, the Russian gang tattoos was not the strange thing that happened. No I found a picture of a girl who had a rather interesting one on her chest so, I clicked on it to enlarge and than bam, my computer was attacked! "Oh no," I thought, "the Russian Mafia is out to get me." They say curiosity killed the cat! That's not good. No, it was not the Russian Mafia but my computer was attacked and I even had the name of it something about ToolKit but I did find it funny that I was attacked right when I entered the Russian site and the sad part of it was I was able to enlarge the picture.

The Mafia incident was not the only strange event that happened to Kitten over the past several weeks. Have you ever had a person come up to you and they act like they know you, give you hug, ask how you are doing but you haven't the faintest idea who they are. This has happened to me twice in a week and half. Both times it was a guy, which is how I know I didn't know them. I have many girlfriends but I have only had a handful of guy friends in my life. My high school consisted of 21 people when I graduated so I know they weren't from there. My last college I went to was all girls and even though I am at a co-ed college now, I remember all the guy partners I have had in class. So who were they and how do they know me...I haven't a clue. One guy looked very athletic and was quite attractive. He asked how I had been been our talk gave no clues how we met. I could have asked them who they were but I always feel awkward doing that, so I just went along with it.

Now going back to Russia, I don't think I have ever said how fascinated I have been with the country and how much I like there music. One of my favorite Russian singers is МакSим. I know I normally give some background about the singers but most of the pages I could find were in Russian and I didn't have time to use a translator convert it to English.
I couldn't find my favorite song of hers for some reason but this is my second favorite. The music video was posted by ViaAlena{it tells the creator in the title}. I have more to write but, alas, Kitten has to get her tail in gear and get back to homework.

A Brief Eposide

{Kitten runs into blog quickly, out of breathe and fur rumpled} It has been a very busy week around here and rather strange/funny events happens but I'm pressed for time. I have classes all day today, two labs and a physiology test tomorrow, then Friday I have a bunch of things to do Micro, and that is just this week. The TEASE is next Monday {sighs} and then Microbiology test on Wendnesday. I personally think that is rather unfair but oh well. Probably won't have another post up till next Thursday. I'll leave you with a video I found on Youtube...one of my favorite American bands.

The Kitten, the ice, and the mocha

{Kitten comes sliding into blog and crashes into velvet cushion with a thump} It is so slippery out there! We finally had classes today, which was nice because after 2 days of being stuck in this room almost 24/7, I was getting a little crazy. Microbiology Lab and Physiology Lab were cancelled so it was just physiology lecture. Going to class in a three inch wedge boot was not the greatest idea, however. I want to dress up nice, well... just because and I have the cutest pair of tan boot the complemented my dark brown leggins and white and brown shirt. Keeping my balance on the sidewalk with not the easiest thing to do and I amlost lost my white chocolate mocha. That would have been a very sad thing indeed.

Which brings Kitten to another topic, why is coffee so expensive?! My grade white chocolate mocha is 4.50 ish! To me that is rediculous and if it were not for the fact that I'm addicted to them, I would stopp. There so good though, espcially at this time of year.

Ugh, I have two test tomorrow so I had better get studying. I'm not looking forward to tomowwo : (

The Ice and the Kitten

{Kitten is jumping about blog with elations and giddy with happiness} Campus is closed, which means no classes, which means no physiology, which means we won't finish the chapter on the heart, which means no test on Friday!!!!! It's so icy out there, though not much in the way of snow but as long as it is all gone by Friday and I can go home, I shan't be too mad at Mother Nature. Actually, I'm half thinking finding my skates, its time for Kittens on Ice!
Here is a pretty little video I found on YouTube. It was taken in England.

Quick Chat

{Kitten comes stomping into blog and muttering to herself about the weather...} More snow  and now they are saying that there is going to be ice to : ( This just isn't fair {stamps furry little paw in fury}. No more snow! It seems as if we just get everything cleared off the roads when and the grass is starting to peek and then we get dumped on. The thing that I don't like about it is that it is supposed to get icy which means that Kitten won't be able to go home tomorrow.
My Lil Sis is a sneaky little thing. I just sound out, via Facebook, that she is in a relation. You have some explaining to do when I get a hold of you Lil Kitten. I'm always the last to know lol.
So much homework and three test to study for. I personally think it is rather cruel for my professor to give all their test on the same day. I do believe that they got together and colloaborted their test just so I would have to send my entire week with my nose in a book and anxiety levels on high. Mean professors.

Change and A Little Music

{Kitten stares out at window contemplating things...}Ugh, it has been a very long weekend. I can't say that I got everything completely that I wanted to but it is my own fault but I don't want to talk about that right now. I have realized that I have been rather placid and, to put it rather bluntly boring, the past year or so. I never take chances and playing it safe all the time is getting to be to much, even for a laid back kitten like myself. I'm tired of being the good kitty. However, I'm not too sure I know how to be bad. Something has to change though, and I'm working on that but change doesn't come easy. I'm reading a book called War Dog by Al J Venter, who is a South Africal war correspondent. One of them men say something that I really like and wish I could follow, "Live like you'll die tomorrow, learn like you'll live forever, love like you've never been hurt, and laugh like no one is watching.(p 76)" I have heard many versions of this quote but I think this best put.

I'm not planning on boring anyone with my silly little annoyances and ponderances today, however. Let us talk a little music because that always makes me feel better. Keeping with the British theme of last week, Pixie Lott is the next up on my list. She has one album out called Turn It Up( there are several re-releases out with more songs then the original) with several hit singles. My particular favorites are "Broken Arrow," "Cry me Out," and "Boys and Girls." She is not very old, I think she is twenty, which surprised me because she looks about 24 in her pictures. According to Wikipedia, she tour with Rihanna while she was in the UK. Anyway, here is a few videos I found on YouTube.

More Worries

{Kitten walks in blog sadly with fluffy tail dragging the floor and little head down cast} It has not been the best day today. Nothing personally happened to me today but for those close, it has been a rather ruff day. My brother's cat Blue, died this morning. I can't say that I was particularly close to Blue but I was sad for my brother because he had Blue since he was a kitten.

While that was sad, I got some extremely upsetting news from Cowgirl just an hour ago. You see, Cowgirl is nine months pregnant and she found out yesterday that something is wrong with placenta. She didn't tell me what the condition was called but is extremely dangerous for the baby. As of right now, the vital signs for him are all right but if she doesn't go into labor soon, there could be complications. I forgot to say that Cowgirl is past her due date. Her doctor is a complete idiot though! First off, she almost let Cowgirl get pneumonia. She kept telling her that she just had a cold. Finally, after being in the hospital three times, she went to see my father, who is her primary doctor and he put her antibiotics but it could have gotten really bad if she had waited any longer. Now, she won't do anything about this! Even Christina's mother, who has been a registered nurse for 20 some year and holds a masters said that the doctor needs to do something. She at least needs to be going in ofter to check the baby's vital signs. She told Cowgirl that th baby might have kidney problems, which was were upsetting for her. I wish there was something I could do for her. Hopefully, she will go into labor on her own in the next few days.

For the Love of Music Part VI

{Kitten bounces into post on a caffeine high, bouncing around. I think maybe I shouldn't have had both the grande white chocolate mocha and the bag of mini cookies} but anyway... I have a correction to make about a post several days ago. I have a new, artist as you can see in the pic above and I original said she was American but, nope, I just found out she is British :) So I guess I shall start my, admittedly small, posts on my favorite British singers.

Natalia was born in England in 1986 and worked in televisions shows and on radio off and on. She signed to Interscope Records in 2009 and made several promotional videos. One was called Zombies and the the other was Activate My Heart. Her style is unique and her music videos are interesting with out being too far out. Well, instead of going on with more writing that no one is interested in, just watch the videos, from YouTube. Kitten was very excited this morning when I finally figured out how to put them up there. It was ashamedly easy and even a technologically challenged kitty like me should have figured it out but here they are. Now all I have to do is go back through and add videos to all the others.

Activate My Heart

Rain Rain Go Away

{Kitten jumps up and down excitedly, then winces in pain} It took me 15 minutes to get that picture, that you see before you up. I don't know why but it kept saying server denied. Well, at first I thought that maybe I picked a picture that wasn't supposed to be use so I tried another and another, and another. Some of the ones that I tried, I had even used before. Then I decided that I at least had the license to put my pictures up that I took but think again! I was denied. I figured blogger was just being screwy with me so I went to the Edit HTML tab and voila, it went right away.

The picture is very appropriate because it is very rainy and rather cold here. We're supposed to be getting freezing rain tonight and Kitten just hates to drive on ice :( I'm fine with driving in snow, its ice that is the big problem.

Kitten has been walking rather gingerly today after hurting my little back, the lumbar region specifically. I think I did it when I was packing up my laptop {which was way too much} and my backpack which had all of my books. I was fine for about an hour then my back started to hurt every time I bent down to pick something up.

I have to say that I am having a hard time getting into the rhythm for this semester. Several classes that I thought would be so interesting or just not appealing to me. Cognitive Psychology is one. I much prefer personality. Microbiology was another one that I thought would be very fun but I just can't seem to get into it. Early Modern European History is one that I thought that I wouldn't like but is probably my favorite. Physiology was the one class I thought would be the worst for me but it's my second favorite.

But on to more pleasant topics like Spring Break! Yes, it is only January but you need time to plan. This year I plan to be away from Indiana for the week, or most of the week anyway. Aurora and I are supposed to meet up but where and exactly when is still unknown. While I would like to leave the country for awhile, with just a week it isn't really worth it. Aurora had mentioned Mexico but what is the point of going somewhere just to stay for four days? I can't stay the entire week with her, seeing as I have a few other little plans plus I'm sure I will have homework. Maybe California or Arizona, which might be better for her.

Speaking of traveling, I am very tempted to hop on a flight over summer break to catch a concert. Normally I don't like concerts but I really want to see Jena Lee but that depends if she is still touring at the time. Then there is the factor that I would probably have go alone, which is my biggest hold back. My Lil Sis couldn't come with and none of my other friends would be interested. I still might though, I have to wait and see.

Well homework is waiting so I shall have to go

A Quick Chat

{Kitten looks drowsily up after taking a nice long nap on velvet cushion} It's been a rough first week but its about it over. As a bonus, we even get a three day weekend! I didn't realize they took Martin Luther King day off but I guess they do. Getting used to a new schedule has been challenging but it's been all right. I am getting sick of staying up at the dorm. I am almost 90% certain that I will just commute next year. The thrill has past and I have my own life so it is really more of a hindrance to stay up there.

My books that I was talking about came in yesterday, which is good because I really needed the physiology book. Our last day on talking about hormones is next Tuesday. The two day a week classes really speed by. The other book is tempting me badly right now but I'm trying to have self control. I'll have three days to read it and I cannot get behind with my studies.

Oh and I found a new singer that I shall talk about this weekend. She is American but she, for some odd reason, has gotten hardly in coverage but I'll save the rest for later.

Cowgirl is having a her baby shower next weekend. It's is hard to believe that she is going to have her baby in only a couple of weeks! It seems like yesterday when we were 12 and horseback riding on the trails, getting lost occasionally. I miss those times.

Stress, headaches, and Sleepless Night Here I Come: First Day of Classes

{Kitten trots into blog bringing a sleigh load on book in tow} Today was the first day of classes. Yes, the headaches, stress, and an end to any social life started today! Isn't that wonderful? Overall, the day went fairly except for the fact that I forgot my coffee in my room so poor lil Kitten did not have to time get a new one till around 10ish. My nursing class was at 9 and for a class that is only once a day, I have a feeling that is going to be a lot of work. She says that for every hour we are in class we should spend three hours outside of class studying. Oh dear, if I did that with every class I think I might as well cut out sleep and possibly eating. Cognitive Psychology was interesting and the teacher seems really nice. I think it should be a fun course. Early Modern European History surprised me a little. I figured the professor would would be boring and strict but he is really funny and nothing like I thought he was.

I am a little sad because no one from any of my other classes from last semester are in my classes this semester. I did see an old friend from chem lab when I was heading back to my dorm. I have meat a few interesting people today, though. After I bought my books I went to Stalker Hall where I was to have both my Psychology and History class. Well, the name of the building seem to fit what happened to me. When I walked into the building, I seen that they had a cafe but I wanted to find my classroom first then come down and get coffee since I had an hour to kill. Well, I go up to the third floor find the classroom and then head back down. Well a very good looking gentleman seemed to have joined me. We he commented on a work of art as we were going down and jokingly said that he was following me since he didn't know where to go. Well, never having been in this particular building either, I told him that we were in the same boat. Once on the first floor, I went straight for the cafe to get some caffeine that I so needed and then proceeded back upstairs. Not too long after I got up there there the gentleman again. {I do not say gentleman because he was older. He was younger than moi but, as I will tell in a minute, he was very nice}. I sat away from me for about 5 minutes then came over and sat beside me. When he sat down, he put his arm on the back of the seat and almost around me. Normally, that would have not been something I would be receptive too but there was something about him... He started up a conversation that lasted about forty minutes. We didn't talk about anything in particular just things. He was going to a history class which is too bad, it would have been nice if he had been in my pysch class.

On a completely different topic, Kitten ordered a new book last night! Was it a romance? Nope. Erotic? Nope ; ) Medical? Political? Nope and Nope. Actually, it is about mercenaries which probably falls under military maybe. That might seem rather from left field for a little kitten like me but there is a reason. You see my first romance novels centered around mercenaries and then later on, I started to do actual research. Unlike when I was 15, I no longer see the profession as romantic but I keep reading about it because it is fascinating but also mysterious. There is so much out there on our military and even the militaries of other country but I have had the hardest time finding information on these guys. It is understandable but the fact that it is a more enigmatic has always made me interested. So my book is on its way :)

Well, time to hit the books.

Kitten's Last Day of Freedom

{Kitten bounces into blog still on a sugar rush} It was Lil Kitten and mine's last night of freedom before returning back to school so we decided to go out and have a little fun : ) We went to PetLand and cuddled a very cute and hyper pug and a rather bitty Siberian Husky {yes, it is not completely true that cats and dogs don't get along ; )}  We looked at the fishies before we left. Lil Kitten is looking to replace her Leonardo DaVinci who was tragically eaten by her cat. I was looking a fish but, alas, I found no no Lord Byron { that is going to what I name my fishie}

I'm not sure I'm ready to go back yet. I feel like I could use another break but I suppose it does not matter. School starts Monday, bright and early, at least it does for me anyway.

A Wintry Day :)

What a beautiful day! It looks like a winter wonderland out there. The snow has been falling for the past three hours and it uncertain what the accumulations will be. I know that I said I could do without anymore snow but the tranquility is so soothing that I do not seem to mind. I hate driving in it and getting my furry little paws wet is not fun in the lest but I have been tense of late and something about snow falling ever so gently is calming.

What is ruining my day is, though, is cold that has ambushed me :( I was feeling just fine the other day and then, wham! I woke up today with a terribly sore throat, a slight cough, stuffy nose, and tremendous headache. My Lil Sis and I were supposed to be shopping today but alas, Kitten is much to under the weather. I was really looking forward to see her since we really haven't had all that much time to hang out over break. When school starts sometimes I am unable to see my beastie for weeks.

On a brighter side, I did get my Technical Writing class switched to History of Early Modern Europe. Technical Writing is well... to technical. The professor even sounded technical. He email to the class was very droll and matter of fact. It may have been a welcome letter but it didn't sound very welcoming. I want to have a fun semester not a boring one, so I switched classes. I have always loved history. It has been my favorite subject since I was in third grade. Originally, I was very interested in the Revolutionary and Civil War and the Middle Ages but when I got into middle school I became more interested in Vietnam, Korea, and Africa. It was not until high school that I really started to take interest in the Middle East and Central and South. While I have studies early Europe( 300BC- 1300AD), I have not studied the Early Modern Europe(1400-1860 according to the class) in a long time and it was never really in-depth.

Another good thing I found today was Cadbury eggs! Yes they are out and apparently have been out since the 1st of January. I am quite the fan of these delicious eggs and swear they make me gain atleast 5 pounds over the easter season.

Now, I seem to have a problem. I am reading this blog that I like and the author is very good, very witty and funny. However, the blog seems to more for business purposes and I wonder if it is only for clients or potential clients. I have thought about email her and telling her how much I like her blog and ask it she mind if I read. I feel awkward not asking but on the same token feel awkward asking. I hate these kind of situations. Oh well, I'm leaning toward emailing her but we shall see.

Well Kitten has to get her fluffy tail in gear and start packing. I'll be leaving to stay in just a day and half!

Kitten's Stressful Day

{Kitten tromps into blog, fur a mess, and in a rather bad mood} My morning did not go so well. I kept forgetting things at the store so I made a total of three trips to Walmart just to pick up a few things. Then I realized I picked up the ink cartages. Thankfully they will fit in another printer but not one the one that I have up at the dorm. Then when I went up to my dorm. They had changed the locks yet again so I had to go down and get a new key. It was an annoyance but I mad till I got in the suite and went to the door of my room and there was a very rude note taped to it saying that the empty side was not cleaned and that no one was able to move it because it of. Well that set me off because 1) There was nothing on that side except for a blanket on the bed, a rug, and a chair that I had placed int he closet; 2) the note was needlessly rude; and 3) I had yet again not been notified through email or any form of communication that I was getting a roommate. They did that to me last semester and I spent  most of the afternoon cleaning when I had a test to study for and then she never showed up. I took the down to the station. I admit was rather terse but I feel that I was completely in my right after all the trouble these people were putting me through again. I wound up talking to a woman, who must have been the manager, and was as rude to her as she was to me. I do not take rudeness. Period. I let her know that the note was completely out of line and then proceeded to tell her all the trouble that she and her staff has put me through last semester. I had the opportunity to change to a single room but I was rather afraid that it would not be as quite as this suite was so I declined, after I calmed down. I'm over it mostly but it still ruffles Kitten fur.
I think that next year I might just commute. I do not want to share a room and to be frank, these people at this college any me to no end. I find them rude and annoying but what am I to do? Saint Mary's just does not have a nursing program and they are not looking to get one anytime soon. I guess I shall just have bit my little tail and be quite.

For the Love of Music V

{Kitten looks behind her packed boxes at the sound of footfalls} Hello, I'm busy working on my packing since I'm heading back to school on Wednesday. Well, I won't be staying anyway, just dropping a few things off so that I will not have so much to bring up on Sunday. This break has gone by extremely fast! I can't believe I only have 6 days left till school starts back up. I went to day and bought what books I was able to. For some reason my Physiology professor has yet to post a book. Well shame on you professor {Kitten shakes paw at him} I wonder if we are using our book from Anatomy but we covered most of the chapters, so I am completely uncertain. The Physiology Lab is also up in the air, so to speak. Then I goofed when I picked my Psychology book. I'm taking Cognitive but I picked up Perceptions so I after to drive all the way back up and exchange the book. On a side note, I heard from my Psychology professor and she seems very nice. I think this might be one of my favorite classes.

Now, it is time for the my V part my little music thingy, so here we go. The pretty woman in the picture is Maya Avraham. I wish I had more to tell but for some reason, I can not find out much information on her. I know that she has at least two albums out and they are both available on ITunes. Her first album is called  Rak Ratsitah Ahava and her second album is Dance according to Amazon. One of her most well know songs is Lama but Ein Li Od Makom, Lifney  Sh'Nishtageah, Rak Ratsitah Ahava, and Ani Molech.

Flirtations

"Bojour"Kittens says as she struts into blog a little jittery after the third cup of coffee. This year has gotten of to a wonderful start :) I have recently been looking over my upcoming classes this semester: Microbiology, Micro lab, Physiology, Physiology lab, Mental Health Nursing, Technical Writing, and last, but not least is Cognitive Psychology. Thinking about my upcoming pysch class made me think about last summer and and particular someone ; )

This week has actually been decent, unlike most of the others where I was ready to pull my hair out. Between tests and papers and quizes I have aches and sleepless nights all the time.

Kitten has a problem that she has never had before: I can't get a guy off of my mind. I meet him over summer break. I actually connected with a guy and that hasn't happened in a long time. I meet guys I find attractive all the time but I never really connect, except for this time. He had Personality Psychology together. I noticed him on the first day because of the way he was dressed. Unlike all the other guys who came in jeans and some other unremarkable shirt, he had on dress pants, a white dress shirt {Kitten just adores a man who wears white and pulls it off well}, and a white cap. Normally, hats have never really been a factor but he pulled it off very well. He definitely went to a guy and ran quiet a bit. I think he might have been in the army or had been at some time because one day he came in and his shirt had Army written on it. That is another thing I liked about him. He did not always wear dress clothes. Sometimes it was jeans and a regular shirt, other times it was sweats, and then, more often than not, dress clothes. I like a man who has a sense of variety and style.

I know he was interested in my. He leered enough while I was walking to my car. It did make me slightly uncomfortable but I was trying to get his attention so what do I expect? He walked me to my car several times and we usually talked before class started.

I do believe he had a wild side. His friend, who was also in the class looked, somewhat dangerous but than again I am somewhat of a scardy kitten. There was just something about him, but....oh well.

There is a possibility that this particular someone is in my upcoming class. What if he is? I have never thought about a guy for this long but maybe its because it has been awhile sine my last real full fledged relationship. I do not count that run in with Mark last winter a romance. No I have not be been a true relationship since James. Maybe I am just mistaking a connection for lust? I suppose it doesn't matter. Kitten needs to get her shower.
